Bermuda Monetary Authority head Mr. Malcolm Williams believes a laser jet printer could reproduce a note practically indistinguishable from the real thing.

As a result, he revealed the BMA was currently liaising with its printers to incorporate a security feature into Bermuda money to prevent counterfeiting.

The feature could cause a note to come out of a copy machine all black or darkened in certain areas, he said.
