race relations will be held at Francis Patton School in Bailey's Bay at 7.30 p.m.

There will be four speakers -- Dr. Eva Hodgson, Mr. Ron Lightbourne, Mr. Jordy Walker and Mr. John Amaral.

It is the second of three forums staged by the new Ministry of Human Affairs and Information.

Minister the Hon. Jerome Dill aims to gauge people's attitudes towards racism.

And he hopes to pick up suggestions for his Ministry's planned race relations division.

Mr. Dill said the first December 9 forum at Hamilton's Cathedral Hall pulled in a large crowd.

"There was lively participation from the audience which I found very helpful.

I believe we made excellent progress.'' He went on: "I wanted to be sure we covered the Island well geographically, so the first was held in Hamilton, this next forum is being held at the East End and the last in the series will be held at the West End some time next month.

"We have already received enquiries concerning additional forums, which we are considering.'' Mr. Dill said the Press would be barred from part of tomorrow's meeting.

"We've taken up a suggestion made by a member of the audience in the first forum.

"Instead of simply asking for comment from the audience after the panelists have finished, the suggestion was that we break the meeting up into groups of about 15 people, each with its own facilitator and recorder.

"The Press will not be invited to attend this part of the forum, in the knowledge that people will talk far more openly as a result.

"It was an excellent suggestion, and I think it will increase participation by the audience greatly.'' Mr. Dill said 10 "facilitators'' had been assembled, and Human Rights Commission members would act as recorders, taking down comments.

But these comments would not be attributed to anyone.

Mr. Dill added Mrs. Tina Evans Caines would act as "moderator'' during panel discussions in the first part of the evening.
