Opening of Lloyd?s box to boost AWAC?s European operations
Allied World Assurance Company has opened a box at Lloyd?s of London, the world?s oldest insurance market, a further indication of how the Bermuda and London insurance markets complement each other.
AWAC said the box, which officially opened for business on Friday, will support its European book of business and serve as an additional outlet to market the company?s existing products.
The Allied World Box is located on the Second Gallery at Lloyds of London, No. 1 Lime Street EC3 and is the company?s third European location along with its offices in Dublin and Billiter Street, London.
Allied World Europe president John Redmond (pictured) said: ?The expansion of Allied World?s European operations into Lloyd?s is an exciting new prospect for our underwriting staff in all disciplines. I believe that having a box within the unique environment of Lloyd?s allows Allied World Europe to offer an even better service to our brokers in their efforts to achieve the best coverages and security for their clients worldwide.
In an increasingly competitive marketplace, Allied World Europe?s ability to offer our A rated (A.M. Best) capacity in Property, Casualty and Professional Lines in three locations further demonstrates our ongoing commitment to our broker markets and their clients.?
