Top employees honoured at MarketPlace
this week with a number of events, including a cruise to Hawkins Island.
The MarketPlace stores are holding the employee appreciation days in a bid to recognise their efforts toward the company's success.
Employees and managers are wearing T-shirts this week which read "My Manager Thinks I'm the Greatest'' and "Our People are the Greatest''.
Staff will also get complimentary pastries and coffee each morning, a lunch tomorrow, and cake on Saturday.
On Sunday all the employees will cruise to Hawkins Island for a buffet dinner and entertainment by the band Tropical Heat and Bootsie the comedian.
All full-time employees are also set to get an additional day off with pay while part-timers will get a $50 gift certificate.
A spokesman for the chain noted: "This is just our way of saying thank you to our people. They are the ones that make it all happen.''
