What is your job? All things legal; in general, my responsibilities include all regulatory filings including New York Stock Exchange and US Securities and Exchange Commission reporting and compliance, capital markets, private equity, derivatives, the administration of the public board of directors and all subsidiary boards, global group compliance and aviation.

What is the favourite part of your job? I really enjoy being integrally involved with projects from inception to closing and then sustaining my involvement through the project's natural life. No two days are alike and the learning curve is exponential.

What is the least favourite part of your job? The job exposes me to a broad spectrum of ideas and initiatives. Regrettably it is impossible to be a part of every project, much less lead them. There are, however, so many opportunities that when one is missed due to heavy workload, I know another will present itself in short order.

What is your most interesting experience at work? It is always enjoyable to fly to meetings in other countries when the pilot is your chairman (who probably has more flight hours logged than most commercial airline pilots).

What would you be doing otherwise? Always had an ambition of winning the lottery and won't give up that dream easily. However as a backup, I've often thought of teaching history.
