Gold chain stolen

A burglar stole a gold chain with four gold pendants from a Harbour Road, Warwick residence. The theft was reported on Wednesday. Police are also investigating a break-in at a Market Lane, Pembroke business. The owner stated that between 5 p.m. on Monday and 7 a.m. on Wednesday, someone gained entry and stole 17 boxes of Italian beige/pink tiles.

Knapsack taken

Tourists who left a knapsack on Horseshoe Bay beach while they explored a nearby cave returned to find it had been stolen. The blue St. Mary's University knapsack contained a black Samsung cell phone, a Canon 35 mm camera and personal items. It was taken from Jobson's Cove, in South Road, Southampton, between 12.40 p.m. and 1.40 p.m. on Saturday. Anyone with information should contact Police on 295-0011.

Man assaulted

A man was assaulted in Flatts Village and taken to the King Edward VII Memorial Hospital for treatment. An early report spoke of three assailants targeting the man at around 9.30 p.m. on Friday.
