KeyTech shares slide 7.8%

KeyTech Ltd shares plunged nearly eight percent today, while Butterfield Bank rose to hit the $2 mark.

Telecommunications group KeyTech tumbled 35 cents, or 7.8 percent, to close the day on $4.15, as 2,500 shares changed hands.

Butterfield gained one cent to close on $2 on the trading of 50,000. The bank’s eight percent preference shares fell $3, or 0.3 percent, to $1,160, as 83 shares changed hands.

The Royal Gazette/BSX Index gained 0.4 of a point, or 0.03 percent, to close on 1,400.58. Volume was 55,798 shares, while turnover topped $240,000.

The BSX Insurance Index climbed 6.91 points, or 0.47 percent, to close the day on 1,466.69.
