Attorney General Elliott Mottley said the positions of Chief Parliamentary Counsel, Senior Crown counsel, Crown counsel and Junior Crown counsel that were advertised in the Bermuda Sun on Friday were the outcome of movement within the department.

"(Chief Parliamentary Counsel) George Griffiths retires next month and Khamisi Tokunbo was promoted to Principal Crown counsel from Senior Crown counsel,'' Mr. Mottley explained.

"Crown counsel Wilhelm Bourne is leaving and Cathy Lightbourne Simmons has left already. JoDina Pearman was also promoted. That is why there is a need for a Junior Crown counsel position.''
