WHAT IS NON-HODGKIN'S LYMPHOMA?Non-Hodgkin's lymphoma (NHL) is a malignant (cancerous) growth of B or T cells in the lymph system.
The United States has reported approximately 55,400 cases of Non-Hodgkin's lymphoma this year.
It is not clear what causes Non-Hodgkin's lymphoma, however the incidence of NHL has continued to increase over the years.
The current thinking is that there is probably a genetic factor and the cancer may start without a "trigger" such as environmental factors.
