KeyTech shares jump 7%

KeyTech Ltd’s shares jumped more than seven percent in Bermuda Stock Exchange trading today.

The telecommunications group, whose shares have traded in a volatile fashion in recent days, gained 25 cents, or 7.1 percent, to close on $3.75, as 8,000 of its shares changed hands.

The move enabled KeyTech to move off its 52-week low of $3.50 and helped to drive The Royal gazette/BSX Index higher. The Index closed up 3.09 points at 1,372.53. Volume totalled 68,578 shares and turnover was $193,631.90.

Butterfield Bank stayed on $2 as more than 50,000 shares traded, while Ascendant Group Ltd remained on its 52-week low of $6.20 as 10,572 shares changed hands.

The BSX Insurance Index fell 0.84 of a point to close on 1,463.11.
