Edward VII Memorial Hospital with a stab wound to the chest.

A Police spokesperson said officers were called to a domestic dispute at a Malabar Close, Sandys, residence around 7.45 p.m. on Wednesday.

Upon arrival Police learned that the dispute had escalated into an altercation between a 19-year-old Southampton woman and the father of her child.

The man was stabbed in his chest, causing puncture wounds to his lungs. He was taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital for treatment.

The woman also attended the hospital complaining of an injury to her neck.

After the woman was treated for her injuries she was taken to Hamilton Police Station and later bailed.
