A 19-year-old man has been charged with sexually assaulting a 14-year-old girl, along with three other men, the weekend before Cup Match.

Prosecutor Maria Sofianos told the court the man, who cannot be named, was out camping with three others when the young girl was invited into their tent and subsequently assaulted.

Senior Magistrate Archibald Warner remanded the man until January 2 when he and the three others will appear to be arraigned.
