Motorists looking to obtain or renew their licences are in for bit of a delay.The Transport Control Department’s license printing machine is currently out of order.When contacted, a spokesman said: “A back-up printer was ordered several months ago to avoid this situation.“However, the new printer arrived in a defective state and it was returned to the vendor.“Unfortunately, the current printer became defective before the replacement back-up printer arrived.“We have consulted with a local company who attempted to fix the printer without success.”The spare parts ordered are due to arrive shortly, he added.And the machine is expected to be back in operation early next week.
