June 3, 2013Dear Sir,Here we go in earnest. Let the games begin as the Opposition scores a rocket into the Government goal after a bad play on the field.The issue is of course ‘Jetgate’ and the Opposition could hardly be blamed for salivating and foaming at the mouth for this opportunity to round on the Government, you can't blame them in the least.This bad mistake of this new administration was bound to happen sooner or later and most regrettably will probably happen again over the next four years. However, putting things in perspective, this is not the stuff of treason or corruption as the fury, fire and disdain would suggest. The OBA dropped the ball on this one albeit with good intentions. They must play by the rules.This is not a game changer in political confidence as some would hope, acceptance of bad judgment shows largesse and humility, something needed in leadership. Look, ‘Jetgate’ is on the runway but ‘Uighargate’ is the gift that keeps on taking. In conclusion let's get on with it, foreign investment will bring jobs and much needed opportunity for this debt ridden country. There are much bigger fish to fry let's not get bogged down by a mistake that clearly has no appearance of malfeasance or graft worthy of a Royal Commission.WAYNE B SCOTT
