The new Black Bay Beach & Park concession has opened for business at Dockyard, providing another attraction for the thousands of cruise passengers in the area.Black Bay, owned by entrepreneur Vic Ball, will offer snorkelling around the scenic chain of beaches, and will also rent hammocks, inflatables, chairs and umbrellas. Food and drinks will also be available.Black Bay, an alternative to Snorkel Park, adjoins Sea Glass Beach just before the main entrance to the Dockyard.But Mr Ball said he will be sure to request visitors don’t take the natural sea glass.The new luxury liner Breakaway carries 4,000 passengers alone on each sailing to Bermuda, where she will be berthing in Dockyard.Dockyard will see a total of up to 9,600 cruise visitors on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays throughout the season, as they pour off the Breakaway and Celebrity Cruises’ Summit.And earlier in the week, on Sundays, Mondays and Tuesdays, a total of up to 6,600 passengers and crew arrive in Dockyard on the Norwegian Dawn and Royal Caribbean’s Grandeur of the Seas; an additional up to 4,500 come on the Explorer of the Seas on Mondays and Tuesdays or Saturdays each week.
