Bermuda’s Emerging Professionals (BEPRO) is joining forces with one of Bermuda’s top insurance organisations to highlight potential new career paths.At BEPRO’s upcoming lunch-and-learn session on May 14, Leila Madeiros, deputy director of Association of Bermuda’s Insurers and Reinsurers (ABIR) will be on hand to discuss her group’s role and importance in Bermuda’s international business sector. She will also discuss the current state of the insurance industry and some of the available career fields and opportunities.The session will be held at the XL House, 1 Bermudiana Road, from 12 to 1.15pm. Those interested in attending can e-mail vwheatley@bcc.bm.BEPRO will also be holding its annual general meeting on May 7 at the Bermuda Chamber of Commerce. The featured guest speaker will be Aaron Smith, CEO of the Igility Group of Companies, which includes IBM’s Bermuda Agency.“BEPRO is thrilled to have Mr Smith as this year’s guest speaker, as his experience and involvement with the YPO is extremely impressive,” the group said in a statement. “He will discuss his personal journey up the corporate ladder and hopefully help to encourage Bermuda’s young professionals to continue on their own paths in this often discouraging economic environment.
