Butterfield Bank dropped 6.25 percent (10 cents) on The Bermuda Stock Exchange (BSX) yesterday.The bank traded 121,956 shares to close at $1.50.The Ascendant Group Ltd saw 5,000 shares change hands, but its share price held firm at $14, as did Kentucky Fried Chicken Bermuda Ltd, which transacted 80 shares to close the day at $5.Overall the Index fell 47.84 points (3.7 percent) to 1,243.69 as 127,036 shares worth $261,874/60 were traded.The BSX Insurance Index was also down 37 points (3.79 percent) at 938.
