KPMG’s partners in Bermuda have awarded scholarships to Christine Terceira of Devonshire and Tansae Wellman of Pembroke.The accountancy firm said that the decision was made to award two scholarships, valued at $20,000 each, per annum for each of the next three years, because of the exceptional calibre of applicants.The scholarship is given to a Bermudian student pursuing a career as a chartered accountant (CA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA).The scholarship provides financial assistance to students towards the completion of an undergraduate degree and the recipients were selected after detailed review by the Scholarship Committee.Over 50 applications were reviewed this year, with a third of the candidates progressing to the interview stage.
