Praise for KEMH department
A leading infection control expert has given high praise to staff in the Infection Control Department of King Edward VII Memorial Hospital.Gordon Burrill, an engineer and chairman of the Canadian Standards Association’s Technical Sub-Committee for Infection Control during Construction or Renovations of Health Care Facilities, said he’s been impressed with the vigilance and dedication of staff in the department.“It’s common to see them on sites here every day,” he said. “They have developed very well very quickly. They have gone from just starting to being one of the most advanced I’ve seen in my travels. They really have a focus to continually make things better.”Mr Burrill has also trained construction managers and healthcare staff on infection control in construction across North America.
