March 12, 2011Dear Sir,There is a letter in today’s Royal Gazette (Saturday, March 12, 2011) written by Eva N Hodgson titled: “PLP not a black party”. It is a great letter (and something) all Bermudians should read without being bias or prejudice towards the individual, for whatever reason they may carry on their shoulders. Personally, there’s many things written that no one can deny; but one point in particular that is absolutely correct is her stating that, “the founding principle of capitalism is competition to ensure that the competent succeed and the incompetent are weeded out through failure”. (She’d also mentioned) “It is only in a Communist society that the Government would ignore this capitalistic principle by bailing out both the incompetent and the wealthy, while ignoring the pain of those who have suffered a major loss through corruption and fraudulent promises.”RAYMOND RAY
