Bermuda slip to eight-run defeat by UAE

Lionel Cann scored a typically brutal 73 and Malachi Jones took three wickets but it wasn't enough to stop Bermuda slipping to a narrow eight-run defeat to UAE in their first warm-up game today in Dubai.Batting first, UAE scored 251 for nine in their 50 overs, with Arshad Ali leading the way with a fine innings of 76.Jones though led Bermuda's bowlers in a spirited fight, as he took three wickets for 35 runs and was ably supported by Dion Stovell and Irving Romaine who took two wickets each.Bermuda got off to a good start with Chris Foggo (56) and Jason Anderson (28) setting the foundations for the run chase, but despite Cann's 45-ball blast, Bermuda eventually fell agononisingly short.
