With little left to play for, final day is all about Village

PHC v BoulevardA match that would have had significance if PHC’s goal difference was not so inferior to North Village’s.As it is, though, the only thing the hosts are playing for is to finish second place in the Premier Division table.Boulevard need a point to cement their place in next year’s Dudley Eve competition.Prediction: 2-2St. George’s v S’ton RangersIn order to claim a Dudley Eve berth, Southampton Rangers will need a win and for Boulevard to draw or lose.St. George’s Colts have already booked their place in the competition so will be looking to end the season on a good note following an encouraging first season back in the top flight.Prediction: Colts 3-2Dandy Town v Dev CougarsThis will be the most interesting match of the day as these two rivals are always looking to win the battle of the bragging rights.Town, coming off a loss in Trinidad in the CFU Club Championships, will be looking to even the score against their city rivals, while Cougars will use the game as preparation for the Friendship and FA Cup finals on the horizon.Prediction: Town 2-1Dev Colts v North VillageChampagne on ice, celebrations ready to begin, the day will belong to Village, and they will celebrate their title win at Police Field. They wouldn’t have asked for any better team to play than relegated Colts, who have struggled this season.Village will dearly love to end the season with a win having lost to PHC in their previous encounter. And that shouldn’t be too much to ask against a poor Colts side.Prediction: Village 3-0Somerset Eagles –v St. David’sSt. David’s have an outside shot of Dudley Eve football next season if both Rangers and Boulevard lose their respective matches this weekend.Somerset Eagles have already been relegated so have nothing to play for apart from pride.Prediction: 1-1
