There's something different about Wesley Park – its railings are hung with striking colour photographs, the selected work of 16 young participants in the Bermuda National Gallery's Youth Camera Action Programme.

The photography programme is designed to empower young people in Bermuda to use their vision and voice. Inspired by the work of the Kids with Cameras organisation, the BNG designed a programme targetting middle school students that brings skills, equipment and opportunities together to inspire young people.

The programme is sponsored by the Cultural Legacy Fund from the Ministry of Culture and Social Rehabilitation and The Family Centre.

There is room for new students, and adult photographer volunteers are welcome. The photographs shown here are a few of the collection currently on display on the railings of Wesley Park (corner of Church and Wesley Streets) and the Queen Street entrance to Par-la-Ville Park.

For more information and to enroll in the programme, contact Bermuda National Gallery Director Lisa Howie (telephone 295-9428 or e-mail: director@bng.bm).
