A drive-by shooting took place in Curving Avenue this evening shortly after 5 p.m.

Police say there have been no reports of any injuries, but detectives have recovered forensic evidence which includes bullet casings.

A firearm was discharged just before the Greater Smith Hill New Testament Church of God, on the road by a block of apartments.

Officers cordoned off a section of Curving Avenue, from the church to just past Smith’s Grill and Variety, as they searched for evidence.

Chief Inspector Nicholas Pedro said detectives want to hear from anyone travelling through the area at around 5 p.m. or any local residents who may have witnessed the shooting.
