A man who shouted profanities at Police has been ordered to serve jail time.

Germiko Williams, 23, of Hillview Lane, in Warwick, was ordered to spend ten days in prison after yelling at Police 'F**k you all, you are all f*****g p***ies. You're dead' on June 11.

Magistrates' Court heard that at 2.30 a.m. on that day officers at Hamilton Police Station heard Williams outside loudly expressing his views of Police. He told them: "f**k you, f**k your momma and your daddy." He would not stop the outburst and was taken into the station and detained.

On Thursday, Williams told the court: "I did say some bad things, but that's not what I said. But I do admit to using offensive words and apologise."

Williams was ordered by Senior Magistrate Archibald Warner to serve ten days in prison for the offence.

He was also ordered to pay an $800 fine for a separate matter of assaulting a Police. Earlier this year, he was given until June 7 to pay, but failed to do so and will have to pay immediately or serve 80 days in default, to run concurrently with Thursday's sentence.
