Butterfield Bank's common shares fell 6.89 percent (10 cents) to $1.35 on The Bermuda Stock Exchange (BSX) yesterday.

The bank traded 71,400 shares during the day, as well as seeing 528,994 rights issue shares change hands, but their share price held firm at eight cents.

Bermuda Commercial Bank Ltd. also dropped 0.52 percent (five cents) to $9.50, with 9,900 shares transacted.

Other decliners included the Ascendant Group Ltd., which slipped 6.66 percent ($1) to $14, with 22,742 shares transacted, and KeyTech Ltd., down 9.62 percent (65 cents) at $6.10, as 46,000 shares were traded.

Argus Group Holdings Ltd. traded 7,200 shares, but its share price remained unchanged at $6.50, while Bermuda Aviation Services Ltd. saw 4,900 shares change hands as it opened and closed at $5.

The Index, as a whole, dipped 58.11 points (4.33 percent) to 1,283.08, with 1,683,936 shares worth BD$942,774.58 and 7,200 shares worth US$46,900 were transacted.
