Butterfield Bank's common shares dropped 3.12 percent (five cents) on The Bermuda Stock Exchange (BSX) yesterday.

The bank traded 103,800 shares to close at $1.55.

The Ascendant Group Ltd. also fell 2.35 percent (35 cents) to $14.50, with 1,400 shares changing hands.

The only other trader was Bermuda Aviation Services Ltd., which transacted 8,000 shares during the day.

The Index, as a whole, slipped 20.87 points (1.4 percent) to 1,465.72, as 113,200 shares worth $217,370 were traded.

The BSX Insurance Index also declined 4.41 points (0.44 percent) to 987.72.
