Yesterday proved to be another busy day's trading for Butterfield Bank's common shares on The Bermuda Stock Exchange (BSX).

The bank traded 277,264 shares, but its share price remained unchanged at $2.

BF&M Ltd. also saw 2,500 shares change hands, while Argus Group Holdings Ltd. transacted nine shares and Bermuda Press (Holdings) Ltd. 61 shares. All of their share values held firm.

The Index, as a whole, opened and closed at 1,622.9, as 279,834 shares worth $541,168.60 were traded.

The BSX announced it had received confirmation from Butterfield Bank of the actual number of common shares issued to its new investors on Tuesday, which when applied to the Index, mean the index value for Wednesday and yesterday were restated at 1,622.9.

The BSX Insurance Index, however, was up 2.68 points (0.27 percent) at 987.61.
