Butterfield Bank's common shares rose five cents (1.25 percent) on The Bermuda Stock Exchange (BSX) yesterday.

A total of 8,158 shares were traded to close at $4.05.

Overall the Index increased 8.74 points (0.42 percent) to 2,113.97, with 8,158 shares worth $32,757 changing hands.
