KFC shares rise

Kentucky Fried Chicken Bermuda Ltd. proved to be a tasty choice for investors as it rose 95 cents (17.27 percent) on The Bermuda Stock Exchange (BSX) yesterday.
The fast food outlet traded 1,000 shares to close the day at $6.45.
Staying in the consumer sector, Devonshire Industries Ltd. slipped 38.46 percent ($5) to $8, with 2,500 shares changing hands.
Elsewhere, the Ascendant Group Ltd. transacted 10,000 shares and Butterfield Bank traded 2,322 common shares, but both of their share prices held firm at $16 and $4.05 respectively.
The Index, as a whole, fell 2.88 points (0.14 percent) to 2,113.97, as 15.822 shares worth $195,851.90 changed hands.
The BSX Insurance Index fell 11.08 points (1.12 percent) to 977.79.
