BNTB busy on BSX

Butterfield Bank was the busiest trader on The Bermuda Stock Exchange (BSX) yesterday, with a combined total of 168 common and preference shares changing hands.
The bank saw 100 common shares transacted, as its share value rose by 55 cents (11.82 percent) to $5.20.
Meanwhile, it also traded 68 preference shares during the day.
Overall, the Index closed up 96.1 points (4.29 percent) at 2,336.37, with a turnover of 100 shares in Bermudian dollar denominations worth $520 and 68 shares in US dollar denominations of $81,260 changing hands.
The BSX Insurance Index slipped 12.19 points (1.51 percent) to 793.72.
