The Bermuda Stock Exchange (BSX) opened and closed at 2,257.74 yesterday.

A total of 8,900 shares worth $50,000 were traded, including 8,800 Kentucky Fried Chicken Bermuda Ltd. shares, 342 Butterfield Bank preference shares and 100 shares in the Ascendant Group Ltd.

The BSX Insurance Index ended the day down 19.27 points (2.33 percent) at 805.91.
