BF&M Ltd. boosted its share price by $1 (7.14 percent) on The Bermuda Stock Exchange Index (BSX) yesterday.

The insurance company closed the day on $15, with 1,000 shares traded.

A total of 12 Butterfield Bank preference shares also changed hands, but their price held firm at $200.

Overall, the Index was up 14.5 points (0.64 percent) at 2,273.53, as 1,100 shares worth $16,500 were transacted.

The BSX Insurance Index slipped 19.27 points (2.33 percent) to 805.91.
