You report, “The island remained free of confirmed cases of the virus yesterday and 45 people were self-monitoring.” Where did this number come from? I have just returned from three weeks in Britain and the numbers at the end of my stay were considerably higher than the day of my arrival. On my flight there were 70 passengers, so I would suggest on that one flight there are at least 70 people self-monitoring. I have monitored my temperature for the past two weeks, with good results. The cough I have was present before I travelled and I did consult with my doctor two days before.Let us be honest about this pandemic: no one really knows what they are doing and what should be done, nor do they know the prognosis or timeline.I find the Premier’s comments on church leaders being contacted on Monday — three days too late! Services should be cancelled until the virus subsides. Churches in Britain have been advised already to reduce contact, remove holy water and, if in the high-risk group, not to attend services.The only thing we can do is wash our hands frequently and correctly, minimising our social contacts.
