Man, 35, dies suddenly

A 35-year-old man was pronounced dead on Saturday after he was found in an unresponsive state in a Union Street, Pembroke home.

According to a Police spokesman, police were alerted to a medical emergency at around 5.40am. When first responders arrived, the Pembroke man was unresponsive.

“The man was taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance, where he was later pronounced dead at 5.53am by an on-call physician.”

While the spokesman said that there did not appear to be suspicious circumstances, inquiries are ongoing.
