An island on national parkland is to gain a new access bridge.Planning officials have approved the excavation and reconstruction of the Ferry Island Bridge, at Ferry Point Park, in St. George's.The footbridge, which links Ferry Island to St. George's Island, will be constructed using pre-case concrete beams.

The Development Application Board gave the Department of Parks project the go-ahead with a condition that all excavated material must be removed from the site.
