An American church pastor died during a cruise ship holiday to Bermuda this week.
Father Brian Monnerat — who was travelling with his family on the Norwegian Dawn — had a suspected heart attack on Wednesday while on shore.
He was taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital, according to Joe Simas, of Meyer Shipping, the agent for the vessel. "He died of natural causes," said Mr. Simas.
The Church of St. Matthew in Forestville, Connecticut, where Mr. Monnerat was pastor, has a message on its website to say he died unexpectedly while on vacation here.
Mr. Monnerat performed the marriage service of a relative of local primary schoolteacher Marty Davis, wife of The Royal Gazette's circulation manager delMonte Davis.
