Trio appointed to BLDC team

Bermuda Land Development Company chairman Vincent Ingham said Bermudians Carlyle Musson, Mark Orchard and Richard Krupp had been taken on as senior managers.

Mr. Musson will be the BLDC's chief executive officer, Mr. Orchard will be the vice-president of commercial development and Mr. Krupp will be vice-president of finance.

Mr. Musson -- the previous permanent secretary for the Ministry of Health and Social Services -- will be responsible for the strategic direction and the day-to-day operations and administration of the company.

He said: "The BLDC's work will have a major impact on Bermuda's economy and social well-being. I am excited by the challenge and I am looking forward to the work.'' Mr. Orchard will take command of strategic planning and real estate development of base properties as well as the leasing of buildings and facilities.

He was a senior manager with Ernst & Young's real estate practice in New York City where he advised major financial institutions, investors and developers around the world on their real estate activities.

Meanwhile, Mr. Krupp will be responsible for financial management and planning for the company.

He was the senior manager at Butterfield Corporate Services where he was responsible for business development, client services and budgeting and administration.
