Police investigate reported gunshots; no evidence found

The Royal Gazette has learned that gunshots were reported in the Middle Terrace area of Pembroke last Friday.
According to a Police Press released issued yesterday, officers responded to reports of gunshots in the area around 9.30 p.m. on Friday, February 19. A Police spokesman said that officers searched the area and questioned area residents but found no evidence.
Said the spokesman: "Inquiries into this incident are ongoing and Police are appealing for any witnesses to this incident or anyone with any information to contact the Serious Crime Unit on 299-8115 or the independent 24 hour confidential Crime Stoppers Bermuda hotline on 800-8477.
