Dear Sir,
I write seeking clarification regarding the statements allegedly made by the Premier as it relates to football and in particular the suggestion that new leadership in the BFA was required to improve the sport.
Was it your impression that the Premier was not impressed by the many initiatives implemented over the past two years? Did he indicate that he was concerned that the strategic plan that calls for a long term approach to improving football was seriously flawed?
Did the Premier take issue with the manner in which tax payers money was spent (note that the BFA budget was reduced by 66 percent during the last Executive's tenure)?
Did the Premier have concerns that the most recent Executive developed a comprehensive and fully funded plan to erect its own building?
Did the Premier poll the Ministry in charge of sports and in doing so, did they inform him that they were not pleased with the on time and fully documented accounting of government money?
Did the Premier mention that he received complaints from BFA corporate business partners complaining that monies provided for initiatives were inappropriately spent?
Did the Premier state that after reading the most recent Executive's annual report that he uncovered serious flaws in their management style and accounting?
Did the Premier find fault with the manner in which our teams have performed?
If so, then does he support the retention of the current Technical Director, who coincidentally was hired by the current President?
I suspect that any Premier or every day Joe would conclude, if they read the previous Executives Strategic Plan, Business Plan, Annual Report and Auditor's Report and polled unbiased club officials and coaches, that much was accomplished and that the BFA has never been in better shape.
However, I wasn't at the Roundtable discussion and so I ask for clarification.
