Workshop on dealing with difficult people
Dealing with difficult people and keeping your cool will be the focus for a workshop held at the Chamber of Commerce next week.
The four-hour workshop, entitled, 'Dealing with Egos, Ignorance and Difficult People' will teach participants what it takes to immediately defuse angry colleagues or customers, keeping emotions in check and preparing for emotionally difficult situations.
Presenter Jan Fraser said the workshop is "packed with real-world tips and tricks to help handle people who are rude, inconsiderate, ill-mannered, critical, difficult, awkward, negative or depressing.
"I recommend this seminar for managers, supervisors, front line staff, back office workers, in fact just about anyone who speaks to another individual in their daily business routine or personal lives.
We make it a fun learning experience and past participants of this class have said it's the best four hours they've ever spent in a seminar".
The workshop is open to all and will be held at the Chamber's offices on Monday July 13 between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. Entry costs $197.
