BSX holds steady

The local stock market held steady yesterday, as only Butterfield Bank traded among domestic companies.
The bank's common shares remained priced at $1.35, as 8,800 shares changed hands.
But the biggest turnover was generated by the 18 Butterfield preference shares that were exchanged, with the price remaining on $1,200.
The Royal Gazette/Bermuda Stock Exchange Index closed unchanged on 1,297.18. Turnover was more than $33,000.
The BSX Insurance Index of the Island's leading international insurance companies plunged just over three percent, or 29 points to 912.
