KeyTech bounces back

Keytech Ltd. and Butterfield Bank recorded gains yesterday to drive local stocks higher.The Royal Gazette / Bermuda Stock Exchange (BSX) Index gained 33.45 points, or 1.4 percent, to close on 2,368.7.Communications company KeyTech, which owns the Bermuda Telephone Company, clawed back some of the ground it lost in a 14 percent decline on Thursday.

The Royal Gazette / Bermuda Stock Exchange (BSX) Index gained 33.45 points, or 1.4 percent, to close on 2,368.7.
Communications company KeyTech, which owns the Bermuda Telephone Company, clawed back some of the ground it lost in a 14 percent decline on Thursday.
KeyTech gained 95 cents, or 11.1 percent, to close on $9.50 on the trading of 3,500 shares.
Butterfield Bank continued its remarkable rise, gaining five cents, or 0.9 percent, to close the week on $5.55. Some 10,500 of the bank's shares changed hands.
BSX volume was 14,008 shares and turnover was $91,078.
