The Royal Gazette/Bermuda Stock Exchange (BSX) Index fell fractionally in light trading yesterday.

Energy provider Belco Holdings Ltd. was the only listed domestic company to change value, falling 1.5 percent.

Belco shed 25 cents to close the day on $16, as 1,700 of its shares changed hands.

Butterfield Bank held onto its gains of late, closing unchanged at $5.35 on the trading of 14,000 shares.

Sixteen shares also traded in Bermuda Press Holdings Ltd., which was also unchanged on $12.

The BSX index fell 4.57 points, or 0.2 percent, to close on 2,334.43.

Volume was 15,716 shares and turnover was $102,276.
