BSX stops the rot

The Royal Gazette / Bermuda Stock Exchange (BSX) index remained unchanged yesterday, stopping the rot after seven previous days of falls.
No domestic listed companies changed value as the index stayed rooted on 2,900.81.
The most heavily traded stock was, for the second successive day, Argus Group Holdings. The insurer saw 12,000 shares change hands and stayed on $8.
Bermuda Commercial Bank Ltd. stayed on $7 as 5,000 shares traded, while Butterfield Bank remained at $8.25 after 3,400 shares changed hands.
Volume was 20,900 shares and turnover for the day was $164,050.
The BSX Insurance Index of the Island's leading international insurance companies fell 1.19 percent to 752.64 after a bleak day on Wall Street.
