Argus dips to $8.50

Shares of Argus Group Holdings Ltd. fell to their lowest value in almost six years yesterday to nudge The Royal Gazette / Bermuda Stock Exchange (BSX) index lower.
The insurer and pension provider fell 50 cents, or 5.6 percent, to close on $8.50, on the trading of 1,500 shares.
Argus was the only domestic company to move yesterday, as the only others to see trading activity, Butterfield Bank (604 shares) and Bermuda Commercial Bank Ltd. (1,900 shares) remained unchanged. Volume was 4,004 shares and turnover was $35,625. The BSX Insurance Index of the Island's leading international insurers saw healthy gains yesterday, climbing nearly 21 points, or 2.76 percent, to close on 777.32.
