A German tourist was taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital (KEMH) with head injuries after she lost control of her rental cycle and collided with a wall.
According to a Police spokesperson, the woman was travelling near Morgan Hill in Sandys at around 5.45 p.m. on Wednesday, when the accident occurred.
"It appears the rental cycle was travelling west on Somerset Road when the rider, a 51-year-old German woman, lost control and collided with a wall. The cycle then struck a utility pole, and as a result the rider was thrown over an embankment."
The woman was taken to KEMH by ambulance but was released later that day.

The accident, which occurred on Wednesday, near the junction of South Road and Lovers Lane in Paget shortly before noon, left the motorcycle rider with cuts and abrasions on his head, legs and chest. The driver of the taxi, a 56-year-old Sandys Parish man, was not injured.
