BIBA to hold student networking event today
The Bermuda International Business Association (BIBA) host its 11th Annual College Student Networking Event at the Fairmont Hamilton Princess today.
Running from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., the the event will provide an opportunity for college and college-bound students to interact with members of Bermuda's business community; to provide them with career and education advice, as well as information about employment opportunities.
The following sectors will be represented at the event: accounting, advertising/marketing, banking and finance, fund administration, Government, hospitality, information technology, re/insurance, investments, legal, telecommunications, trust, and new this year, the technical sector.
"I'm extremely pleased to say that over the past three years, our attendance has increased incredibly this year is no different," said BIBA's CEO Cheryl Packwood.
"This is not a career fair; it is an opportunity for Bermuda's young people to make connections with professionals across a range of industries who may just create a pathway for that young person into the career they are interested in. In order to facilitate this, we have a lot going on simultaneously, including: career seminars, speed networking, industry exhibition and general networking."
