BIBA offers students speedy networking opportunity

Students will get the chance to network in "speed interviews" with representatives of businesses and other prospective employers tomorrow.

The 10th annual College Student Networking Event (CSNE) will take place at the Fairmont Hamilton Princess from 5.30 p.m. to 8.30 p.m.

Last year, the CSNE drew over 130 student participants and more than 180 business professionals from Bermuda. Participants included BIBA member companies, such as the Bermuda Maritime Museum along with the Centre on Philanthropy. Last year some Government Ministers also took part.

"We want to make sure that we provide each and every participant the chance to maximize this unique networking opportunity," even coordinator Carmen Adebiyi said.

The CSNE has more than 200 business professionals, including government Ministers, and 130-plus students pre-registered.

"While we have attracted a lot of attention from our efforts to market Bermuda's international business sector abroad, the work we do through the CSNE is as meaningful as anything we do for both young Bermudians and our member companies," BIBA CEO Cheryl Packwood said.
