Belco has advised motorists to avoid Barry Road in St. George's from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. today.

A crew will be working along a section from Almedia's Farm to Fort St. Catherine.

The company said it is an extremely narrow road and requested drivers to detour if possible.

In the event of extreme bad weather, operations will be postponed to a later date.
